Job Title: SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING MANAGER UK

With four million unique visitors each month, and a network of over 50,000 pre-screened home service professionals nationally, ServiceMagic is the number one internet site in the building and construction category, and is now aggressively growing in the UK. ServiceMagic UK is looking for a highly motivated and ambitious professional to join their UK team. The Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager will plan, execute, manage and analyse online search plans and strategies. A strong analytical background and an interest in data analysis is required. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for interactive technologies, new marketing channels and internet. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director Europe and be based in London. Position Summary: The main focus of the position will be to maintain and optimise ROI-positive, SEM campaigns targeted to new customers and Service Professionals. SEM duties include working with Google, Yahoo, Ask and MSN to manage day-to-day SEM efforts with the following specific responsibilities: • Keyword Analysis – Evaluate keyword performance of existing campaigns. Based on performance, implement bid increases/decreases, keyword deletions, landing page changes and structure changes. • Keyword Expansion & Implementation – Research opportunities to expand contractor targeted keywords, and implement by building new keyword lists, creating tracking links, determining bids and uploading new keyword submissions into each search engine account. • Copy Analysis, Optimisation and Expansion – Evaluate performance of active copy and optimise based on click through rates conversion/approval rates and search engine quality scores. Additionally, introduce new copy concepts to test against existing variations. • Conversion Analysis & Optimisation – Through tracking, improve the registration experience and increase conversion rates. • Reporting - Provide updated performance stats and insights on a weekly basis • Online marketing – drive leads through other acquisition initiatives, including, but not limited to affiliate programs, email and strategic partnerships. Required Experience: • Minimum of 2 years search engine marketing experience and/or direct response advertising. • Undergraduate degree • Knowledge of ecommerce and internet-based business models. • Experience evaluating creative messages, analysing results and optimising campaigns. • Experience with search engine, online advertising, direct marketing and/or email marketing strongly preferred. • Advanced Excel experience required. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and French language skills (preferred). • Candidate must have strong analytical skills, be detail oriented and a self-starter.
