Clicks2Customers UK, a specialist paid search agency, is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to develop new business opportunities in the UK and Europe.
The role is focused purely on new business and suited to a highly self-motivated sales professional with exceptional drive and sales skills. The target market is Marketing Directors and eCommerce Directors of major online merchants as well as their agencies.
Job purpose:
The development and generation of new paid search client accounts for Clicks2Customers UK.
Key responsibilities:
- New business development including lead generation, appointment setting, proposal development and presentation, negotiation and deal closing (signed Memorandum of Understanding)
- Handover client to Paid Search team and account manager
- Manage and maintain the pipeline of new clients
- Networking and attendance of industry conferences and events
- Maintain a high level of Search Industry knowledge
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Proven sales ability and successful track record, preferably in the UK and European online marketing sector
- Ability to demonstrate an excellent conceptual understanding of technology (search engines, pay per click marketing, SEO, etc).
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to ‘close the deal’
- Strong client management skills
- Experience in dealing with blue chip clients and presenting to senior management
- Solution focused problem solving skills
- Self-starter with a determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy
